acorns as attractant

picked 12 gallons of acorns out of the yard and hate to throw them away. i was thinking of mixing them with some vanilla and putting them out by my stand later in the season. any ideas? anyone have any suggestions? any thoughts on anything else to mix with them??

I do it every year. I don't mix then with vanilla or anything. Just pour piles on the ground. Doesn't take long and they gone!

If you put them in an onion sack with a tray under it you can get a bunch of fish bait too.
