    Question: bow during rifle?

Forgive me if this is a stupid question. I am still trying to get my first whitetail with a bow. Is it legal to still bowhunt during rifle season?

      Just an FYI,
There is no Rifle season in Texas.
There is Archery ONLY, General and some counties have special Black Powder Season.
During general season you can use any legal means. Rifle, Bow, Pistol, Muzzle Loader, etc...

Awesome, thanks! I know it will be that much more difficult but, I really want to seal the deal. I hit a doe last weekend but, I lost the blood trail after 40 yards and did not recover her.

No such thing as a stupid question if your trying to learn. Yes you can hunt with either during the general season

Just my $.02... I would not spot/stalk during General season on public land... I don't know any horror stories and I haven't heard my friend tell me about his friend's brother, but I just don't really trust being on the other side of a deer that someone is aiming their 30-06 at...

Probably just being paranoid, but it does worry me.

In my case, I don't spot n stalk. I'm on 20 acres low fenced, private land in Lampasas. However, 20 acres feels dangerously small when you are talking about 30-06's
