    Temp to hang overnight

    Shot a doe about 6:00pm. Gonna be around 50 tonight. Ok to hang it and run to town early tomorrow?

              I wouldn't worry about it, with the cooler temps it should be fine.

                50 degrees. Would you leave a steak sitting out at that temp? I would have no problem with 40, but, personally I wouldn't at 50 unless on ice. Bacteria grows at 50. But that is my feelings about it.

                  Just make sure if it will be hung outside that it is high enough to keep from coyotes, stray dogs, and such.

                      What temp is your refrigetator?

                      40 or less.

                          Health department rules (for restaurants and such) say 40 is the max temp for raw meat.

                              Congrats, and yes, in my opinion, no problem. I've hung them overnight many times at that temp without problems.
