    Unit 11 Kansas Live Hunt

Been over a week since I have been in the woods, and today is a good one to get back out there. Low 30s with a wind chill in the low 20s. North wind around 10 mph, so it is going to be a chiily one.
Moon is coming up on full and there should be some Good Movement now.
Stiuck around, I will be updating once I am on stand... Man I am so Anxious....... Feels like it should be a GREAT Day...

Okay I do apologize for no updates. My Blackberry decided to DIE on me in the woods...
Here is what we have. About 8 this morning the wind was good, so I took out the rattle bag. I worked a 30 second sequence and set it down. Not 3 minutes later, a nice 3.5 yr old 5 point came in. I had him at 34 yds. broadside. If Kansas offered more than 1 buck tag he would have been shot. 3 on his right beam and only a fork ohn his left. About 15-16" wide and NO BROW Tines.... Straight up Cull Buck. With bow in hand I watched as he walked off to the east. No two minutes later a lone doe strolled in and stood in the same place. Knowing my freezer was empty, I grabbed the Bowtech Destroyer 350, came to full draw, and settled the pin. I knew the yardage was 34 yds, so I split the top and second pin. All was good and I cut the shot. The Easton Epic 350 tipped with a 100 grain Slick Trick Magnum was on it's way. In a loud Thwacl, I watched as she folded up.
I spined her from 34 and knew I would need a follow up shot. The only issue was she was behind a tree. I eased down out of my tree, and got within 20 yds and put one in the boiler room. I stood there and watched her give it up..
I know the rules.. Without pics, this thread is worthless..... Sorry. No Camera and like I said above, the Blackberry was DEAD.....
Got a good eating doe for the freezer and now it is time to search for Big Daddy......
