Does it work? Is it better/worse than rattling in the early hours. Idk why but I've only seen people rattle in the mornings.

Last three deer on my wall were taken shortly after rattling in the evening. Last year a 22 point and two years ago my avatar. So yes, I would say it works.
I find that it can also bring bucks out of the thick brush and trees when you don't see them. That's what happened to me. I didn't rattle to get them closer...I hadn't seen them at all at first.Last edited by Delirious; 10-24-2012, 11:19 AM.

Ive had little luck in texas rattling in deer, that being said i hunt illinois alot (2 months of the year) and i always have luck there between 9 ish to around 2 or 3 aggressive calling from a buck that has a hot doe with him already seems to be the key for me in the "hot" hpurs of the morning and evening
Take it or leave it but thats my experience!
