Had to jump after work today, got come, came back 45 min later and it started up fine. I thought I was ok. Went to the driving range with my dad, went to leave and it wouldn't start again. Tried to jump it but it was sounding like it was out of gas? Maybe full pump was out? Any ideas? Anyone have a good connection around NE San Antonio? Ill have to get a tow probably

I need more details to get a good picture of what's going on, but I'm going to throw this out there only because I've seen 4 cases of it in the last month.
Pull off your battery cables. Clean the terminals with battery cleaner spray and a wire brush. Clean the cable ends with the same stuff. If you have clamp on cable ends, remove the clamps, clean the insides, and clean the bare wire. Bad contact on the battery cable seems to be coming up over and over again with people I run into. Symptom is usually very weak cranking, cranking over once or twice, then nothing, or just hearing the starter solenoid click, then nothing.

A few things to check assuming it's a gas engine not diesel.
If it jump starts check voltage to see if alternator is charging and battery for bad cells
If it won't jump and clicks check ground to starter and also the starter itself
If it just cranks spray some starting fluid in the intake be careful if you have wires to your throttle body instead of a cable. Electronic throttle bodies can be damaged by starting fluid.
And remember for a car to start while cranking you need air, fuel, compression, and spark.

ended up replacing the battery this morning and it was fine. had a bad cell, the whole night was a blessing, also glad the battery was under warranty
this is how my night went
last night my truck broke down at the driving range about 9, i also locked my keys in the truck yesterday earlier so it was a rough day. got a ride home expecting to have to get it towed. i was talking to my neighbor who was working on his car. he called this kid over in his driveway that was talking to some of his daughters and the neighborhood kids.
his name is christian, he works at an auto shop. he told me we could go to his shop and get the diagnostic computer out and take a look. we spent some time talking and it was obvious to me the Lord was at work. Christian is 18 years old. moved down from dallas a couple months ago. He moved down here because his girlfriend was being physically abused by her mother and step mom and her real father was here in san antonio. just a couple months after they got down here, she cheated on Christian and kicked him out of her moms house. His parents cut him off because they didnt agree with what he was doing (hardcore southern baptists). he is currently living at the auto shop (just an old gas station). he was making minimum wage but now his boss is tryign to pay him off commission which worked out to around $4/hour (i found all this out later from my neighbor). but christian doesnt have a choice because he doesnt have anywhere to live. he is in the process of making a shower.
i paid him generously for his time and told him i would call him to get some more help.
it gives me chills thinking about, i want to ask you guys to pray for Christian. He is trying to get out of the auto shop but doesnt have a choice at the moment. I will continue to pursue him and work on that relationship.
