I have one that looks just like that but from a different manufacturer (or maybe the same manufacturer, different label) I've been making jerky in it for a long time and it works fine. You just may be disappointed in the small batch size - it doesnt hold as much as it looks like it might

I have one that is similar but holds 10 trays. It has always worked well for me. Probably had it for 5 years.

I have have that exact one. You can make about 2.5 lbs of meat into jerky in one batch in about 10 hours or so. It basically takes 2 batches to do one deer quarter into jerky. For as cheap as it was I keep waiting for it to crap out but it still works great.

I use Hi Mountain kits, and have never been disappointed. I soak the night before in Claudes Fajita marinade (wally world) and everyone always loves it.

I use a dehydrator similar to that one.
                        Here is my recipe

                        HOT AND SPICY JERKY

                        5 LBS. VENISON
                        1 CUP WORCHESTERSHIRE SAUCE
                        ½ CUP SOY SAUCE
                        1 TSP. GARLIC SALT
                        1 TSP. ONION SALT
                        1 TSP. SPICY BROWN MUSTARD
                        ½ TSP. COARSE BLACK PEPPER
                        1 TSP. CHILI POWDER
                        ½ TSP. CAYENNE PEPPER
                        1 TSP. TABASCO SAUCE

CUT VENISON INTO ¼ INCH STRIPS. COMBINE INGREDIENTS FOR MARINADE. MARINATE IN THE REFRIGERATOR FOR 24 HOURS. DRAIN AND PLACE IN A DEHYDRATOR OR OVEN UNTIL DRY TO YOUR LIKING.
