Too late to plant turnips or oats?

Thinking about planting a small food plot this week with the chance of rain this weekend. Turnip greens would be first choice but may do oats too. Is it too late and is it worth it?

Oats would be fine. Don't know anything about turnips.

Oats, winter wheat, or rye grass. While rye grass may not be the most nutritious, I am sure you have see where this has beenhand broadcasted around office buildings here on Texas into Novembers.

        Good luck with the rain

As warm as the days still are, I think you will be ok. I put my turnips in about 3 weeks ago and they are just now coming up pretty good. Rest of the plot is up about 6".

Oats are fine to plant now...you could also plant some Radishes. They are extremely fast growing.....at 3 weeks they would be 8-12 inches tall. Check the forecast for the first freeze.
