    Prayers Needed / ALS Sucks!!!!!!

Lost my aunt yesterday guys/gals! She was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s) just one year ago, and fought it hard up until Tuesday. She and my uncle went on their first "date" when she was 14 and he was 15 (to a soda shop with her mom), and they never wavered for the next 39 years.

She was a great lady who loved life, her family and friends. She was a country girl who hunted and told stories with the best of them up until she got sick.

Hopefully they will find a cure for this terrible disease some day, but in the meantime some prayers for our family couldn’t hurt.

    Thanks all!!

Terrible to hear. ALS is an awful disease and I am sorry for you and your family. A friend of mine has had three family members die of ALS over the last ten years or so and every time he gets a "tick", flinch or sensation in an extremity he convinces himself of the worst. Again a terrible disease and prayers sent.

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Its sad that with all the technology available there is no cure........the drug companies dont get enough cases to warrant spending all the money to research.......very sad. Hang in there. Call your uncle often and if he refuses to do anything, KEEP CALLING. He needs you guys now more than ever.

Prayers sent. I lost my Dad to ALS when I was 12. It's the most horrible disease imaginable.
