How to find out the owner of property?

There is a piece of property that has no gate or fence or address. I would like to contact the owner. Any way to find out that info?

                  X2^

Most have a website. If its like a county rd just type it in and look at the different properties on the rd. Hope this helps.

Many appraisal districts have maps online. Get a nearby address if you don't know the address for that particular property, and search that local counties tax appraisal district website if they are online. Most appraisal districts online use geo maps with tax parcel numbers that you can link to the property owners name and address at least. If not online, the tax office for that county MUST have a record and name and address for the owner because they need an address to send the property tax bill to. Then look up that address online to find a name, or send a letter to that address as a starting place. I have found leases this way in the past. Or as a last resort, try a neighboring property owner as usually they know one another or at least how to get a hold of them. Good luck.

County Clerks Land Office can tell you they should have plenty of maps so you can find the place and address!

If your county does not have a website you are going to have to find the tax appraisal district office and dig into some maps. People that work in the office will usually get you headed in the right direction
