I sure was hoping for a Carbon Turbo at about 35" and 6" brace height. Darn it!!!

I give my buddies on here who shoot Hoyts heck and all in good fun, but that Spyder bow and it's over-over-over-extended limbs is ugly as hail!!

It sucks that Hoyt hasn't done anything major to improve their lineup speed wise. Maybe they just have it in their heads that speed isn't their thing and they're relying on smoothness of draw and the brand loyalty that's already out there for them. I think every bow company has a niche they are trying to make it in. Bowtech (speed), PSE (speed), Bear (smooth draw and really quiet), Elite (smooth draw and fast),Mathews (different look, smooth draw, super light and inflated IBO speeds ), Hoyt?? The Carbon Element is bad *** and there's nothing else like it, other than that, all the other bows they have kind of look the same and have rather pedestrian speeds (320 or so) compared to some other ones from the other major bow manufacturers. They are great bows, reliable, accurate, cosmetically they look awesome...just saying I would have expected them to have something with a little more "wow" factor.

Almost all of Hoyts hunting bows are 330 and one that's 340fps. Honestly, what difference will a few more fps make? All makers are putting out good stuff now days. What else can be done but small changes from time to time. I think its pretty impressive how far bows have came in the last 10 years or so.

Yeah, still 15 fps behind the competition on their fastest "speed bow". I'm not a Hoyt hater, in fact my favorite bow I've ever had was an Alphamax 32, wish I would have never sold it.

No doubt though, bows have come a LONG way in the last 10 years.

We got some of the spyders in yesterday. Been letting people shoot it very quiet. 30 inches I think 3.8 pounds. And those new shocks, work very well. I shoot a carbon element but I may shoot the spyder this next year. Got an element in but I haven't had time to shoot it yet.
