Just got a decent fire going....temps are slowly dropping and should be around 45 manana. Went and put out 20 # of hand corn and waiting on morning. It's looking good. I went to my set to pull tc card but there were several deer in the area so i backed out and went and set up another Ameristep ground blind and brushed it in...hand corned the heck out of it. I walked over next to cabin to see a man about a horse and found this. Fire is stoked, cold beer is flowing. Waiting on tomorrow morning.

Not sure on snake, it was a big one though. I'm still on stand. Had an 8 come by around 730 grunting and pushing a doe, hard. Had a young 6 walk right under my stand. They are still feeding on acorns and I'm on oak flat with a few pines...paper co lease and the oaks are only along creeks or hills to steep to cut. The rut activity is going on for sure...that 8 ran her all over the place.

Snake looks like a chicken snake due to the length and color! I wish I couldve been in the stand this morning but Im having to wait until after work so the day needs to hurry up!
