Spikes AR Question

I recently bought this off of one of my hands who built this himself. What I can tell you is spikes tactical 5.56, Burris ar-332 prism, magpul acs, daniel defense m4 barrel and the custom duracoat.
What is this thing worth? He kept telling me he had $2000 in this thing. Is that possible?

If it didn't have the rediculious paint job I'd been willing to buy it...good god that this is as pretty as my MIL!!!!!

Not worth 2g's..... Spikes lower have been as low as $90... The DD barrels are good! Not many AR's will bring $2000 now days. There are exceptions, but must of the time a pieced together or "built" ar15 is not going to bring that money. The optics help bring the price up. The Burris is around $250. iMO as it sits a fair price would be closer to $1000. Not tryin to offend you! Just Calling it like I see it.

Btw I own a few and have built a few. Check the classified on AR15.com and compare your rifle with others on there.

I never once thought it was worth 2g. I was thinking 1400 myself as it sits, I figure the paint job is going to hurt it.

I agree with Bily's and ecoboost's assessment. $1000 tops but somebody is going to have to love that paint job.

This is why I keep telling people that factory rifles are the way to go and don't do silly paint jobs on them. He is going to lose big $$ on the sale of this thing.

Oh, he lost money on it, when he sold it to me. Now I'm going to lose if I wanna sell it. I've got 1225 in it. ****it!
I always thought it was ugly, but thought maybe it was just me being boring. But now I see it not just me I talked him into doing it one color for me.
