    Deer blind window visors

Anyone know of a good way to deflect weather from my window openings? SDS Outdoors and Texas Wildlife Supply both sell window visors, but I would be spending over $200 for their products on my blind. There has to be some DIY method someone has thought of. Any ideas? Thanks.

I run a 2x2 that has one edge ripped to 5 degrees or so, above the window. Then screw a piece of plywood on top of the 2x2. Water does ever get on my windows. I rip the plywood length wise so it is more stable. ( not across the sheet ) I believe they are 6 to 8 inches in width.

I use the same material as Froggy. 2 pieces will do and some Hex head metal screws.

That will work perfect. I noticed that on some of lowes' rain drips, one leg of the "L" shape had the edge angled slightly. Other rain drips had one leg of the "L" much longer than the other leg. How do you mount these rain drips? Does the longer leg usually mount to the blind with the shorter leg hanging out over the window? What about the rain drips with the extra angle on one edge? I am assuming you mount these with the extra angled edge out over the window right? Thanks.
