Hunting Squirrels

I have been looking to hunt squirrels for the longest time and I have not been able to find a hunt any where. Anybody know if there is such a thing as a squirrel day lease ?

I would really love to hunt them.

I've never heard of a squirrel day lease. I love squirrel hunting too, and typically use a 22 to get after them once deer season is over.

You might check out public land. I know a lot of the public land that I hunt for deer and hogs also offer squirrel hunting. I typically hunt squirrels on private land though.

And no I've never heard of a squirrel lease but I imagine if thats all you were hunting it would be pretty easy to get permission.

Never heard of a lease specifically for squirrels. I just hunt them at the deer lease after deer season or on NF land. If you don't have a lease public land squirrel hunting should be pretty easy to come by.

If you can find a pecan orchard they will gladly let you hunt it, we used to hunt some around the red river north of Saint Jo, lots of bushy tails.

I love to hunt those tree rats! If you're ever in the Lufkin area shoot me a pm and you can go with me. Find some public land around you and hunt the creeks/ lake edges. Pretty much where the oak/hickory/pecan trees are.
