25-25 tie Overtime: Manziel runs for a touchdown Aggies miss the extra point. Tigers throw an interception. Game ends 31-25 Aggies.
I've looked at all the stats, previous opponents, etc and I think this will be close with scores in the mid 20's. I think A&M has a slight advantage with Manziel and Kyle Field. LSU has struggled on the road so far.

Probably, but nobody will know until they play. Manziel (a Heisman hopeful) will rush for 35+ in the 1st quarter. You should watch the Ags play sometime. This kid is fun to watch
C'mon man. Sc has a qb who scrambles just about as good as Manziel and a heisman candidate rb in latimore and sc didn't have 35 yards rushing the entire game. I pray Manziel attempts running the ball all game.

Your prayers will be answered. When you see this kid drop back, you better hope he throws it. If he pulls it back down, he can wreak havoc. I know L$U has a great defense, but so does Florida. He didnt have much trouble running on the Gators. Big difference for LSU this week versus last is playing on the road. They havent looked stellar on the road this year.

I might need to challenge your statement about the SC QB. Check the stats.
Shaw - 76 attempts, 280 yards, 3.7 yds per attempt, 20 yards for long, 1TD
Manziel - 91 attempts, 676 yards, 7.4 yds per attempt, 72 yds long, 10 TD

Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel made plays with his legs in the first half. Manziel was 5-of-6 passing outside the pocket for 53 yards and four first downs. He also had nine rushes for 41 yards, including two scrambles for first downs.
In the second half, Manziel attempted two passes outside the pocket for one yard, and his eight runs totaled 19 yards.
Passed for 173 and rushed for 60. LSU may have the better D.
This is going to be a fun game to watch. Yes, I'll be watching.
Sumlin has learned a lot about his team since week one. I like what he's doing.
hmmm and I thought college footbal threads were banned based on Forum Rules!! (I appologize, the rules have been changed since last week....carry on)
LSU Geaux Tigers! (I will usually root for any Texas team, but just am not going to root for a&m at all this year)

Shaw also missed some games from a concussion and they havent ran him quiet as much since. Manziel is probably better, we shall see. Running qb's have had success against LSU in recent years ala Cam Newton and Tim Tebow

The rules haven't changed. We have been given an opportunity since last year, but the choke chain may be tightening!
I still think the Aggies are a bit unproven and could still turn out to be a mediocre team by season's end. Honestly, even with 5 wins I'm not sure their biggest accomplishment, from an SEC standpoint, isn't a "near win" at home against Florida. Arky is down and Ole Miss is a perennial bottom dweller. LSU is on a different level, even than Florida. I've seen lots of Aggie teams get off to a solid start and then get a reality check when they hit the meat of conference schedule.
That said, I'm looking forward to this game as a measuring stick for my Ags. Could it go south? Of course. But with "Johnny Football" at QB I think they have a "puncher's chance" of upsetting LSU at Kyle. LSU will likely stack the line and keep a spy on Manziel, so he'll have to beat them with his arm. Swope and the two freshman receivers, Evans and Johnson, will need to have big games and beat corners downfield. I also think they will need to run the ball with their backs instead of relying too much on Manziel as a runner. They need to be fast paced on offense in hopes of wearing down the big D Linemen as the game goes on. Defense will need to hold on and make LSU work. There can be no special teams lapses or turnovers for the offense.
Intangibly, home field should work in the Aggie's favor. The crowd should be rocking (wish it was a night game)! This game was becoming a legitimate rivalry in the late 80's before LSU ended it. The players on both teams are too young to remember that, but the Aggie fans know it. I'm guessing (hoping) LSU fans have been too spoiled by recent success to think of it as a rivalry game. I'm hoping the Tigers are looking ahead to Bama next week. "Trap" game, perhaps?(edit: I just realized LSU has a bye before Bama)
Before the season a lot of people expected the Aggies to win a games they shouldn't as well as lose one or two they shouldn't. I'm hoping this week could be they former (and, of course, that they avoid the latter).

Not so much for Oregon last year. lol. I think Reid and Mingo will probably hit Menziel a few times in the first quarter to wake him up.
