"Shoot Through" mesh windows?

I have a pop-up blind that has "shoot through' mesh windows. When I bought it the guy said shooting through the mesh has no effect on the arrow's flight and material I read said the same. I've never flung an arrow through the mesh so I don't have first hand experience.....there's still a little doubt lingering. Has anybody had good or bad experiences with them?

i have the same thing on my pop up, but for some reason dont trust it. i always just pull it out of the way..

It won't affect arrow flight out to 20-30 yards provided:
The mesh is tight - like bounce a quarter tight
You are shooting fixed blade heads. Some expandables work, but I don't trust them with mesh.

Yeah I don't trust then either. I just open the windows up all the way. Doesn't seem to bother the animals. Had two foxes come right in and look up at the blind with them open.

loose or tight won't matter the mesh won't affect the flight of an arrow with a fixed broadhead, I've shot through them plenty of times.

regardless of what a maker says I will not shoot a mechanical through . . . . I had one of the heads that said you could open up on me. I wouldn't have known if i didn't see the cuts in the screen as the arrow hit it's intended target and was marginally off

I've never had any issues. Now the important thing is what types of broadheads you use. I use fixed blade broadheads only, I would not recommend using any mechanicals through mesh.

If you decide on trying the mesh, go ahead and put a few rounds through it at a target before you take it into the field. You don't want thoughts of doubt in your head messing with your shot concentration when you're drawing down on a deer.

Every time you get a new broadhead, release, quiver, arrows, string, sight, whatever it may be, you shoot your bow to see what needs adjustment if any. Its too easy to take your target out and shoot three arrows through the mesh, rather than to rely what people on the internet tell you.

Well put. I have shot through mesh for years now with no problem. I make sure and paper tune, and use fixed blade BH's (slick tricks). P

I have a double bull crusher blind that has the shoot mesh. I have shot through it before and the arrow still flew true, but i lift it most of time so that i can video my hunts. I did make the mistake of letting my 13 yoa son shoot a spike with his 30-06 last year through the mesh. It blew a BIG hole in the mesh.

I have shot fixed blades through mesh for years with no problems. Fire away.
Biggest problem I have with mesh is glare with direct sun and that it robs you of the first and last 5-10 minutes of shooting light.
