    Government Property question

My dad is purchasing 30 acres in Lake O The Pines and this property is adjoined to Government Property, or Army Corp of Engineers flood easement.....not too familiar with this so i was going to ask the GS. I know he has been told since he is adjoining he has unlimited access, he just cant build on it.

What are the rules as far as hunting and riding ATVs and fishing? Anyone know anything about this?

I don't think you can alter the land in any way. This includes mowing or removing dead limbs.

    Double check with the corps.

The corp is my back fence here where I live at Lake Georgetown. You can put a gate in but only large enough to walk through. No driving of vehicles of any kind. They are very strict on their rules for neighboring land owners but are very slow helping you with problems concerning them.

Over all it's pretty good as it gives me a lot of room to roam around on and fish on. It's also nice to let friends cut through to hunt there and save them a long walk.

No feeders on Corp land either so other than neighbors with them you'll be the only one with a feeder. Also if you shoot a deer on your place you'll have no problem gaining access to go find it. Score

You can but every one has their own set of rules they go by. You will have to go by the office and check on it.
