Going to be just south of L.A. for the rest of the week. I cannot stand California and I hating that I have to go to the West coast. Grrrr.

Los Angeles has turned into a third-world country. It's 6+ hours south of here and I have ZERO interest to go there other than on occasional business. Orange County is nice on the ocean if you can get there. Inland- it's the pits and a giant concrete jungle.

Hunting stinks down there too.

If you get up north, give me a holler. Duck season opens Sat am. I was out in the early season goose hunt 2 Saturdays ago and saw over a 1000 local mallard in the marshes at the south end of SF bay, a hundred sprig, and the usual assortment of teal and gaddys.

You know, with all the crazies in the state, I went to a networking event that everybody brought a meal, appetizer or desert. A friend and I put together "Texas style" chicken fried steak and chicken friend venison and I had over 100 people try the venison and have positive comments (like how do you hunt with a bow, I used to hunt, my Dad hunted and I never got into it, I'd love to get my son into hunting how do it?) and zero negative, PETA, idiot comments. I know many of these folks will not vote for the same presidential candidate as I (it's supposed to be a free country) but overall they were pretty "normal". Not all caucasian folks either.

Sitting in the hotel for night two. Playing on the green screen and reading hunting stuff. I go home tomorrow evening. It occurred to me that the best thing about leaving Texas is coming back...

I was in LA last night and am in San Francisco tonight. Was in San Diego for 3 weeks prior. I will take San Diego and LA over San Francisco any day.

Duck season opens Sat, plan to hunt the bay on Wed am in the Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge. No pigs last weekend with lots of acorns down. When/ where will you be in NorCal?

Wow. Been to LA many times. Have friends there. I really enjoyed spending some time there. It can be a ton of fun if you know where to go.

Hit the beach and grab a bucket of beers. Enjoy the sunset over the pacific.

Still not sure when I will leave. Hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday. Customs has a hold on the trailer that I have to pick up at Oakland harbor. Those guys don't get in a hurry.
