How long?

How many years did you bowhunt before killing your first trophy? (Ie. Something that warranted spending money on a shoulder mount).

This is my 4th year of bowhunting & hunting in general. I've killed both mature does & bucks but have yet to cape one out. Were I hunt it wont be a huge # score so I'ld be thrilled for a 5 year old 10 point or something like that. Just wondering how long everyone went before getting a wall hanger of their very own.

I mounted a buck I shot in 2009 and had been bowhunting since 1987 and he still only scored barely 120

I've see one buck this season an it wasn't worthy either.
We have some big ones out at my place, they just have some great places to hide and I don't get to go hunting nearly as much as I'd like to, to be able to connect on one.

Lets see been rifle hunting since 1983 started bow hunting in 1988 small window of not hunting at all 16 yrs and as of today still don't have one. But figure the odds are in my favor only hunt public land now so I know a 150 plus is in my future. Lmao

Took me 3 seasons chasing this one buck.
Scored 150 and change. Hunted him 2008-2009 and closed the deal in Nov 2010. Only buck I've had mounted that I shot with bow.

Bought a bow and hunted four seasons before i saw one that i wanted to shoot. Couldve shot small bucks but never chose to do so. First bowkill was a 162. Shot another the next year and now its been three years since i've flung another arrow. Some might say i'm too picky- but i've got a couple good ones on camera this year so we'll see what happens...

been hunting since I was 7 and am now 29 and have yet to put one on the wall (my minimum for shoulder mount is 125 P&Y. I do have a nice muley on the wall though

Been hunting 28 years with both rifle and bow, and still don't have a deer shoulder mount. Having a shoulder mount done on a Texas Dall that I took with my bow this year, but no deer yet.

16 years and counting off and on. Started with a basket rack 8 before AR and since then has just been does and a few spikes
