It's called "fight or flight" mode. Your body drops an enormous amount of adrenalin from the "fear" emotion. That adrenaline dump is what cause the urge for the other "dump."

Happens to me every time my fire department pager goes off in the middle of the night. I have been delayed to a house fire more than once because I had to take care of business before I left the house. The good news is it does not take very long and I still make the truck.

Been raining for the past hour. Slowing down and wind dropping. Expecting her to show up with a low grumbling sound in her gut, and a glazed look in her eye....the same look and sound my girlfriend has when we drive past a Jack in the Box.

Catches me off-guard every time as well. Especially the mornings where my eyes are heavy. Then my mind starts hearing all kinds of things right after it goes off. Then there have bEen mornings when it hasn't gone off at all or it goes off and nothing comes out
