i replced a shower knob stem in my bathroom, but the water keeps running ,no matter which way i turn the knob. it keeps coming out of the spout below. any suggestions?

Screw for rubber washer came off. Unscrew the stem and replace washer and screw!

You need to replace the seat in the faucet. Replacing the stem just gets you a new stem and a newly chewed up bib washer. The seat is the source of your problems. Be sure you replace it with EXACTLY the same one that's in there. It may be in your best interests to call a licensed plumber if you're in over your head. PM me with more questions if you have any.

Fixxed....once i found out how to place the springs in the rubbers and install them it all worked out...thanks again

I would stil check the seat. I can ruin a new rubber. You can grind them of you have the tool.
