    FOB's??

Anyone ever use them? I am strongly considering these as a means to an end with having to re-fletch my arrows! Lets hear what y'all got, the good, the bad, and the ugly.. Heres the website..

Mudslinger uses em. And loves em. I only have 2 issues with em. You cant use shoot thru netting and they are fugly! But they steer the hell out of a broadhead tho!

I've been using them for about 4 years now. Work awesome at controlling broadheads and make refletching very simple. Also when you shoot an animal the FOB pops off and will mark the spot the animal was standing.

Cons would be that you have to shoot a drop away rest, can't shoot through mesh, and they break easy if you try to shoot your arrows into groups.

I've looked before, and I believe they come with special nocks ? In that case, can you shoot lighted nocks ?

Search it on here. There have been several threads about them.

4arrows in my quiver. Two with fob's. Long distance and accuracy to a tee they rock. But..... Like others have said, no shoot threw mesh and only drop away. The are a blast to rabbit hunt with at 50 and 60!!

No special nocks...that's the beauty of them. You take your nock off, put the FOB over shaft, and put nock right back on. I just switched to Nockturnals with my FOBs and they fit great.

I've used FOBs for 3-4 years now and I love them. The cons are as mentioned above. You need a drop away rest, not made to shoot thru mesh (although they may go thru without popping off if your broadhead makes a big hole in the mesh. Wouldn't try it without practice), and you can bust them up when shooting groups at close range. They are tough tho. I've had ones that were banged up and ripped in places that still shot perfect. There is a youtube video with a guy that cuts off 2 corners of the FOB and it still shoots well out to 20-30 yards. I hate refletching and these shoot as accurate or better than the Blazers I used to use. They pop off and act as a marker on pass thru too.

It won't hurt to give them a try. And for those that say they hit your face and mess up your anchor point you should try Accunocks. They are a touch longer and really good nocks. My FOB/nock is my anchor point so it works perect for me.

They are awesome and I don't see myself going back to vanes anytime soon. Another TBHer buddy of mine, lbbf, turned me onto them and he shoots them at 100 yds with amazing accuracy.

Sweet! Sounds like a lot more positive reviews than negative. I just have to buy a dozen FMJ's and a dozen FOB's and I'll be g2go! Last question, what adjustments if any needed to be made to your rest? I am shooting a QAD..

I am already shooting FMJs and I have a QAD rest too. I just read on their website that the QAD rests are very FOB-friendly. They send you a "test" FOB you use to test clearance.

Great concept. They work also.,.. I shot them and they preform as they are supposed to. No special nothing. I just like to spend hours wrapping, painting, and fletching arrows. I was going to switch over to FOB's. I even bought a bunch of them.
