When i took my wife she tried several. But color was the main thing for her lol. Ended up getting a Bear Homewrecker. Compared to the razor edge she was able to draw it so much smoother and the grip was more comfortable. My only regrets was getting it from bass pro. Nobody seemed to really wanna help us until the old man came over and did. The other guys didn't want to take time so she could try them out.

Ha I think my wife is going to choose on color as well. Whatever it takes to get her into it! Ive got the same thing from Bass Pro and Cabelas. I am thinking its because the staff doesnt know much about bowhunting...... Just my thought.

Thank you for all the insight. We went and shot and decided on the Bear Apprentice. (Mostly on color I think) Ordered a new set of string from Korbins and should have it set up and ready to start shooting by next week. When she left she was wanting to go out and shoot a pig in the morning! I may have created a monster.

Now Im trying to figure out what to set her up with. She is 5-4 120lbs. What are your thoughts?
I am about 5'7 115lbs...i shoot and love my Mathews DXT (if you can still find them). It was the smallest mathews bow out when i was looking (then the next few years they came out with the passion and the jewel)...anyway it maxes out at 50lbs, im currently shooting 44lbs right now. Its light, fast, compact and ive put it through hell (dropped it out of my tree stand 18 ft high - no damage lol). I have really small hands too and the grip is good for me.

I have girl friends who shoot the bowtech heartbreaker and some from the mathews mission line-they have more choices in color if she wants something like that. I just switched out my string and accessories to pink/purple and kept the camo bow...but like many have said its all about preference. I LOVE my DXT but she may be comfortable with something else...good lick!
