    Was Texas feeder fences

Read some posts recently that said feeder fences in East Texas are not a good idea. Anybody have any input on positives or negatives?

It will keep the pigs from pushing the deer away from the feeders. I think deer get used to the fence. I've always seen deer leave quickly when the pigs come around.

Remember the bigger you can make it the better. Big bucks don't like it if its tight around the feeder.

I put up a couple when I hunted in east texas. I went from seeing 4-5 deer a hunt, to seeing no deer. They would come around the pen, but not jump inside of it. that was leaving it up for over a year. I finally took it down, and just tried to deal with the hogs. It was plenty big enough.. I had used 10 panels total.
