Too many issues with the 6.0. I would go used with the 6.4 or buy new which will have the 6.7 in it

Take it from someone that bought an 06 F350 FX4 brand new and had zero problems until the warranty ran out and the mileage hit 120,000 and then had to spend almost $7000 to fix things. I will by another Ford with the diesel, but you can bet your bottom dollar that it will never be a 6.0 again. Live and learn. I would save and buy the 6.7. The 6.4's mileage is not good from anyone I have talked to.

I too am part of a posssible class action lawsuit against Ford for teh problems of the 6.0. Not sure if anyone will get anything except maybe the lawyers, but it is not costing me a dime to do so.

The only way I would take it is if it were free and I could pass the problems to someone else for a little cash.

It's a good engine if you know the problems associated and have them fixed. IMO though, I would rather have a 7.3 or a 6.4. 7.3s are bulletproof and the 6.4 is a stud.

6.4s had alot of problems to. some are the same problems as the 6.0!

I have a 7.3 and wouldnt trade it. You could walk up and offer me and 6.0 or 6.4 ever made and i wouldnt take it.

I have an '04 with 140k. They replaced three injectors before I bought it at 99k. I've had it three years and have replaced 2 injectors, AC, EGR, Oil cooler, alternator. Injector plus labor where I am is $650 per. EGR and cooler were $1500. Now that I've done all the work I'll keep it. Its a good truck so hopefully it"ll make it another 140k. If I had to do it again, I prob wouldn't do it again.
