Pancake mix.... who would of thought?

Was frying up some backstrap the other day and mistakingly used pancake batter instead. It was pretty tasty! Any other good off the wall things you guys use?

Never thought of that...sounds like a good idea. I've always done milk, flour, milk, flour.

Tried that once but the maple syrup made the meat to sweet for me.

Here's another. Soak the meat in Ranch dressing for a coating and chicken fry with flour as normal. Awesome. One of those "learned by mistake" things.

I was cooking duck one day and a cow patty accidentally fell in the fryer....

still tasted like ****, but it was way better than the duck.

You just don't know how to cook it right; the duck, not the cow patty! Slice dem filets de duck into pieces about 2" x 3" or so; let dem soak all night in milk, preferably buttermilk. Den marinate in your favorite type of marinade for a few hours or however long you have before cooking. Den, wrap a jappoleena slice with de creem cheeze with a bacon slice, just like you do dem dovie birds. Grill until done. Wipe de milk mustache off de upper lip and enjoy dat duck wrap! Son!!!

I have a good friend who likes to eat his chicken fried venison with molasses or sorghum syrup!

Jiffy cornbread mix instead of regular cornmeal when frying fish. Very good!!
