Anyone work for a water company?

In continual dealings with monarch, the company from Houston who wants to jack our neighborhood and several others around the dates relates, to thre time plus local municipalities rates along with I think it was $100 minimum mk they charge, it is curious after our local city pimp slapped them from raising out rates that I see them almost daily, out and about our neighborhood of around 600 houses, running fire hydrants for 20 minutes or so...

Now it makes sense that they would need to flush pipes periodically but I bleep you not, as much as I see them, that one dude has to be going around the hood running all the fire hydrants, constantly....

Why would a water company need to do this periodically and why would they need to do it as frequently as I personally see them flushing the hydrants?

I saw guys doing that around here as well. This was for Chisum. I stopped and asked why they were doing it. He told me that every time they change where the water comes from that they have to flush the lines. I asked him why and he said he didn't know.

I would think they would at least recover some into tank trunks and water the parks or some thing.

When a pipe breaks it disturbs the iron in the pipe and cause muddy/murky water... So we flush with hydrants.
Storm drain clogged... Flush with hydrants
      Street muddy... Hydrants
A lot of citys don't look at the bottom up. Meaning they don't realize what the field workers are doing or hardly care about what they doing. It's all about the $$$$$
