I was looking forward to this past weekend's weather change, so I headed to the farm. The drop in temp, overcast, and breeze I felt was all in my favor. I got the pop-up and sat there from 6am to 10am. I didn't see a thing. I had had more deer on camera in the evening, so my hopes were for the afternoon. I ran back to the house for lunch and change of clothes. I headed back out to climb a tree about 2:30. I got settled in and sat there, sat there, sat there, and again, nothing. I was getting beat. I had some good clothes on, but that North wind was starting to get to me. I decided if I hadn't seen anything by 6:15pm I would go ahead and stand up, so that I wouldn't spook anything trying to stand up ( I was still in hope). Well have standing there for 55 minutes the doe below came in. I had made my mind up that if anything came in I was going to send an arrow. I needed some meat in the freezer and my second Whitetail bow kill. She came in upwind at 15 yards. I put a 100 grain 2-Blade Rage right through her heart. *Graphic pics below!*
