    If you're new to bowhunting

keep track of your kills starting now!

I have about 50 bowkills under my belt in 20 years. I have kept details in a spiral notebook for about 12 years with info such as date, time of shot, animal description, ranch, county and state, model of bow, broadhead, shot distance, shot damage(ie. double lung, heart, etc.), recovery distance and special memories of the hunt.

Going to save all these details in a word document so I can add a ldp to each report. Unfortunately, I'll have to go through about 8 years of pictures to recall the details of those hunts. I know we all think we'll never forget a kill, but trust me, the older I get and the more kills I get, the harder it is to remember them all.

Your kids and grandkids may enjoy reading about what an awesome bowhunter you turned out to be.

Good advice. I wish I would have done that. What a great thing to pass down to the grandkids.
