Each season me and two of my buddies get together around the 1st of Sept. and plan an October Llano trip and a November Llano trip. The last 2 years we seemed to hit most of our hunts during the full moon, so this year we looked at the moon phases. We picked as close to the new moon as we could get with what our schedules allowed. We are due to be in Llano this Wednesday through Sunday. Here the coldest front of the fall so far hits this weekend so I am thinking we should still have some cool weather around right......wrong. Right now they are calling for the lows to be in the up 60s to low 70s! I am thinking I might have to hunt naked! 70 degree lows in October?
I usually won't even hunt here in east TX when the lowes are 65 degrees or above because I sweat to much and the Mosquitoes are so bad. I guess we have to take what we get but I think I would rather have a full moon over 70 degree lows.
