    I made a bad shot!

This eight was quartering away at 20 yards and I was so sure this arrow placement would hit vitals. I was wrong! When I recovered the arrow it didn't have any blood or the smell of guts, I feel like crap over the hole thing.

If the blue dot is your arrow you should have blood an you should get liver..

By the looks of it the arrow was heading for the opposite shoulder. If that is the case doesn't look to bad actually, just my two cents.

That's what I was thinking, I thought maybe it would at least have some dark red blood on it. Sadly that's not the case, maybe I hit a void? I dunno.

I thought the exact same thing. I've replayed the shot over and over and still think I have should of hit something. I don't know what's going on.

Clean arrow is a missed, wich I much rather see on my arrow. It happens to most of us Bow hunters, don't beat your self up on it. You'll get the next go round, pick a hair & aim small. Good luck!!!!

You had to have hit something with that shot placement.
Only void I can think of is in between the vitals and spine up high behind the shoulder

Certainly possible. Back of lungs and below the liver. Bummer!

I hit a big eleven point right there one evening several years ago. Very little blood. Jumped the deer an hour later and never saw him again.

Liver, lung, diaphragrm. That deer should be dead.

Looks fine to me if he was quartering away. Should be BBD

If he was quartering away that deer should be dead. BTW, there is no "void"
