How soon will deer get use to a new set up?

I am going out to Liberty Hill tomorrow to set up a feeder and brush in my pop up blind. I know it is late but I just got permission to hunt this plase on Wednesday. So I will do my best to brush it in but my question is how long do you think I have to wait before the deer get okay with the new stuff in their back yard? Literaly thier backyard. I will be hunting next to a house that hasn't been lived in for over a year.

I've had deer under a feeder the exact same day I put it up. I would set it up, brush in your blind and let it rest for a couple of days then hunt it.

I had a deer come in 18 hours after setting up my feeder. But just to be on the safe side I would give it a good 4-5 days. Good luck

In my experience it is always best to play it safe with things like this. If you go in too early you could blow the place for the year or run off the only good buck in the area. PM me the coordinates, I will check it out for you and let you know when it's ok for you to hunt. (No thanks are necessary) But be sure to keep the feeder full and in working order.

I would follow the advice of the 2 above me.

A day or so if they aren't at the feeder the same day you set it up.

haha. I will set up tomorow and hunt it the following weekend. I figure five days well be long enough for them to know the feeder means food.

We put a feeder out in Red River County and they were hitting it hard within a day or two and coming back every day for more.

1st. If they are no shows do not fret. Nothing is moving up in this area...yet

2nd. Put felt on the spinner plate and metal to make it semi-quiet. Gets them coming to the feeder better IMO versus getting the living crap scared out of them and always being super nervous ound the feeder.

3rd. If in a subdivision or around other homes it may not take long at all. Deer around Liberty Hill can be pretty tame. They are smart buggers though, don't let them see you getting in/out of the blind.

Thanks for the good advice. I never thought about putting something on the spin plate to make it a little quieter. It is around a subdivision but each lot is like 10 to 15 acres. But next to it is ranch land for like a couple thousand acres it looks like.

I changed my feeder setup on Friday. I plan to hunt Monday, I corned it pretty heavily before I left it

Just curious about when the deer start moving around a little more or when there might be some rutting action happening? I am going to go and hunt it this Saturday morning. It will have been there a 7 days at that point. My buddy said that he has seen a lot more deer sign in the area since I put the feeder. I am pretty stoked about having a place to hunt right now that is so close.
