Man this weather is awesome. Got chilly on stand this morn. I had 3 does not 100yds from where I parked. Kept an eye on them with my green kill light, it never bothered them. I had to walk up wind from them, none spooked, credit scent spray for that one. Got to stand area, had small buck eating chummed corn from yesterday, he walked off, but never spooked. Got in stand appx 6 a.m. First light, 2 spikes milled around for several minutes while one rubbed a tree, had shot opp but decided to hold off. About an hour later, 2 does came right at me, stopped under my tree and stood there for several minutes, got a little jittery, prob getting a whiff of my walk in scent but never blew or really spooked. Finally just walked on down the trail. It was a good hunt, 8 deer, 4 within bow range, cold weather, and just being in the woods. Anyone else have a good hunt this morning?

i wish i did get to go. gettin ready for work now, but i'll be thinkin about ya when i leave for kansas next thursday. i cant wait! yall still huntin the place over by canton? -
sounds like a incredible hunt!!! I have not gone out yet as the weather just ain't right. Hopefully in two weeks Kansas will be chilly and the deer will be moving.Comment

It was nice for me too! Couldve killed a ten and a couple does if I wanted. Weather had me fired up! The smell as I was walking to stand brings that feeling to me.Comment
