It's early. The acorns and the green forage brought on by the rain has made our deer very feeder wary because they don't need it. I normally see 8-12 deer a sit and we are seeing 2-3. Heck the first weekend I got skunked two out of the 4 hunts and that just doesn't happen at our place... this blind in particular. I'll take the great conditions though versus what we had last year!
They'll come when they run out of natural stuff or just want a taste of the yellow goldComment

Opening weekend was full moon and a torrential rain (at least at my lease). I hunted for three days and could not even find a doe to shoot at. I did see a couple nonshooter bucks one afternoon but that was it. It is frustrating when it is real slow but it will turn around if you are in an area with a decent population of deer.
