Leakey rut?

This is my first yr hunting in leakey . Anyone know when the rut starts or when they are pushing hard?

Usually later in the year. We hunt about 30 miles west of Uvalde and it's always primetime during the middle of December so it should be pretty close to then.

Know a guy who hunts there and he says early December the post that Ragin put up is probably more accurate.

Been on a lease out there for 25 years and on our place it generally seems to happen just prior to Thanksgiving. But, heck, there's so many deer (does) out there the bucks probably get tired of trying to breed them all. Best buck I ever killed was on December 18, right on the heels of a hot one.
