How long do you wait ???

I know this has probably already been discussed but ive searched the GS and cant seem to find anything. But I found a great spot planning on hanging a ladder stand there tomorrow my question is how long do you normally wait before hunting the spot.

Depends. I've actually hunted a stand the same day I set it up, and shot a 144 3/8 typical 12 point at 20 yards that same afternoon.

If you get in and out fairly quietly and without spreading your scent everywhere, you can hunt the same day. The longer you let it sit, the better. If you have that option

I have time to let it sit. If I can stand it lol. If seen a couple good deer on this spot. I'd hate to do anything to mess up this spot though.

If I'm "hanging" a stand I will typically hang it either in the middle of the day or middle of the night, then hunt it a day later. (i.e. a stand hung at 1:00pm gets hunted the next morning, a stand hung in the middle of the night gets hunted next evening). However, I've been know to hang and hunt with good results, as well. Confused now?

no different that going into a new place with a climber, if you can do it fairly quietly I would hunt it that day.
