Does wearing all black in a blind really help?

But can the deer really tell? I know you definitely blend in to the dark interior better, but is it really necessary? Or does it just make you feel like a ninja? I've been wearing all black and have yet to see a deer.

That depends on the blind IMO

The inside of mine is black. I could see if the interior was camo then wearing camo would make sense.

Popup or box blinds or home made cattle panel blinds I would say yes.

I find when I wear black I move quicker, quieter, and leave no scent. Confidence in feeling like a Ninja makes me a better hunter.

In all seriousness. I do dress in black. It make it harder to see me in the blind. I have tested this with a friend as well. Through the eyes of a deer I don't know if it helps. But, I haven't been busted via sight yet.

Yes black works in a blind with a black interior. Yes camo also works in a black interior. Just stay towards the back of the blind.

I did the whole camo, black clothes thing with scent free and all that for years. My logic is as long as the wind is right and they dont see you move. i have had luck in shorts and a burnt orange longhorn jersy.

I think it is more the movement then the color (black or camo) and i dont belive that the black or camo will mask movement that will spook a deer. Some say the camo or black clothing will make it more dificult to see you and your movement, but i havent found that to be that case. i have not seen any difference in white, black, camo, blue, yellow or green clothes providing any cloaking of movement better then the other. I hunt out of pops up and tri pods.

Yes but for my birthday my parents bought me a really nice under armour camo fleece and I'm dying to wear it, but I've heard to only wear black in a blind. Thoughts?

Yes. I keep a XL black long sleeve t-shirt in mine, to pull over whatever I'm wearing. I got too much camo hunting clothes to go buy the same stuff in black.

When I wear black I can climb trees AND fill my feeder without a ladder. Just something to think about.

Does this also help your Chinese Star throwing skills as well? Would be cool to take a deer with one to the throat.

Movement, scent, and "blending" into your background.
