shot placement question

In my new setup I am hunting an grassed road that I have been hand corning for a while now. I have deer coming in on a pattern. The problem is the tree im in is only about 10 feet from the road. My stand is about 18 to 20 feet up. my question is where do I aim? Its going to be an almost straight down shot. And yes this is pretty much my only shooting lane and no I can't get in a better postion if I change trees. This is the best I can do. Thanks in advance.

Good news is if you hit any bone from that steep of an angle it will be spine. I just try to picture the vitals in the deer and aim for my exit hole.

Best of luck to you! Like I said, just picture where you want your arrow to exit the deer and aim for that spot. Hopefully you get one on the ground!

That's steep! Bend at the waist and shoot it like flat ground (3 yards).

Another good point. Make sure you bend at your waste.

If you have a target, take it with you to the tree/stand, place it in your shooting lane and practice. Then you'll know for sure. It would be really nice if you had a full size deer target.

this . . . . without experience you won't be able to visualize what the arrow's going to do. I'd suggest this and a lot of it.
