last night I had a great wt buck come in to my set, got ready to shoot and he looks of to my left and splits. I kept watching the brush where he retreated to for min or two then look over my left shoulder. There stood the biggest axis I've ever scene out there. His head swayed side to side as he walked in. When I got the quartering away shot I was waiting for I drew the bow and fired. He spun just a bit at the shot (28 yards) and split. I followed up and it was a clean miss. While it sucks to miss, at least he wasnt wounded and I might get another chance later on.
