I'll try to find out more tomorrow. I know the deer you're talking about thumper and I thought the same thing at first but it isn't the same deer. That's why I posted it here to see if it was just a bs story. Heck of a deer either way.

this deer was shot at the Lazy M near Shepherd just down the road from my house, the ranch is mostly a cattle ranch with your native deer my buddy that is out there all the time said everyone is shocked because they have no idea were this buck come from and have never seen him. also to note this is LOW FENCEComment

It's a legit deer. I posted the original thread and pics. Actually talked to the hunter while he was at the taxi with it and getting it green scored. Great guy and an animal to boot. AJ said they have several deer on this place between 140-160". One of those hidden treasures.Comment
