Recommendations for a programmer on a 2009 Chevy 6.0 gas

I am not real happy with the power or the gas mileage of my truck but gotta keep it a little longer before I can get a diesel. My truck is a 4 door short bed 4x4.

Anyway I am looking into getting a programmer for either power or economy or both.

It seems that most programmers have an economy setting and a power setting (tow/haul also).

What brand is recommended by the Green Screen?

I don't have a 2009, but I have a Hypertech on my Chevy 6 liter. Runs like a scalded dog when I put my foot in it, but gets about 1.5 mph better than stock when I'm conservative but the downside is I have to run premium so not really any financial advantage.

      What year do you have?

It might be worth the price of premium??? Can you set it back to stock and run regular? Maybe just premium for towing with the programmer set to tow/haul?

Sorry about the delay. Mines an 02. It's not a chip replacement it is a programmer that reprograms the factory chip. A lot of the replacement chips allegedly build up too much heat. If you took the time to learn how to use the programmer you could switch back and forth, but i just had my mechanic set mine up for performance and left it that way. Added about 50hp and a lot of torque when I romp and stomp it. Sure hasn't hurt the engine any because I've got 225K on it and still going strong. One benefit of running premium is that I have never had a bit of fuel system/injector problem.
