Haunted Trail

Need some suggestions from the brain trust. The local boy scout troop is wanting to put on a drive through haunted trail for halloween. My son is in the troop and I help out where I can. We are looking for ideas for the kids to put together that are "scary" yet inexpensive to make. I don't think we will have any electricity available either. What ya got?

Here at the house we do something every year.

Stuff some old jeans and shirts make em look like bodies.

Spider web material is pretty cheap....one bag makes a killer looking web on my front door area.

Battery powered strobes..some even have "spooky" sounds.

Can't go wrong with dry ice in buckets for some smoky effects.

Spaghetti and big olives in a bowl for brains and eyeballs.

Flashlight behind a piece of cardboard with two "eyes" cut in it. Put red tail light tape over the "eyes". Someone could wear all black and run through the woods. Make for a pretty cheap monster.

my wife gets cardboard tubes from toilet paper or paper towels, cuts eyes in them and puts glow sticks in the rolls and tapes up the ends. We put them up in trees or bushes. Glowing eyes in the woods freaks some kids out.

My wife found a suggestion to cut eye shapes out of cardboard tubes like paper towels or toilet paper comes on. Put a glow stick inside and hide in bushes for eyes.

we did this once. make a scarecrow and tie it to a rope swung over the tree. when the car drives by pull that bad boy up to scare everyone.
