Anybody else consider Woody's in Centerville a mandatory stop on the way to or from Dallas/Houston? Friendliest people, great jerky, great BBQ, and all kinds of other good country store type of stuff.
I like to use a combination of the Rio Rancho Rib Rub they sell with their Sweet Bourbon Glaze when smoking a half or whole pig. I have yet to do a pig this way where my guests actually wait to get a plate to eat. We just put the pig on the cutting board in the middle of the table and everyone grabs a fork.
It's gotten a bit fancy pants since its become popular, but the food is still awesome. I remember the days when the guy would just carve whatever you wanted right off the 20ft long pit they have on the side of the building.
