    WOODY's!!!!!

Anybody else consider Woody's in Centerville a mandatory stop on the way to or from Dallas/Houston? Friendliest people, great jerky, great BBQ, and all kinds of other good country store type of stuff.

I like to use a combination of the Rio Rancho Rib Rub they sell with their Sweet Bourbon Glaze when smoking a half or whole pig. I have yet to do a pig this way where my guests actually wait to get a plate to eat. We just put the pig on the cutting board in the middle of the table and everyone grabs a fork.

It's gotten a bit fancy pants since its become popular, but the food is still awesome. I remember the days when the guy would just carve whatever you wanted right off the 20ft long pit they have on the side of the building.

        Good stuff....
A more redneck version of Buccee's. Been going there since it was just a small store on one side of 45. Dropped off a few deer at his processing place too.

I spent more time stopping at Sam's long buffet in Fairfield. Woody's is a cool stop for just about anything.

We always make time for Woody's. A few years back, I made a day trip to Dallas for my dad's knee surgery. I left Houston early and arrived at Woody's for bearkfast. Stayed through lunch in Dallas and had dinner at Woody's on the way back to Houston. That was one fine day, successful surgery for my dad and two stops at Woody's.

                    Randy,
I'm sure you try to fill up during the week... on the weekends Woody's is an insane madhouse, especially during deer season. I don't even try to get in there on a Saturday or Sunday anymore for fuel!

I sneak away to hunt the old way at times at a buddy's place and Woody's is a mandatory eating place.
