What do you do during the week before you leave to go hunting? Any special things you do?

I don't do a lot the week before. More the night before. Since my weapon was sighted in long ago, I start by getting all my "stuff" together that I am going to take with me. My lease is about a 45 minute drive away, so I leave early for the morning hunt. Since it's so early, and I'm so sleepy (not a morning person), I have to make sure everything I'll need is right by the back door or else already in the truck, otherwise I might forget it.

Do you ever go back and shoot your bow with bh's just to make sure its on? Go over your stuff a million times? Shoot your bow some more? Or am i overthinking things? Shot bh's tonight, off from last time. Freaked out, kept trying to fig out what happened. It was me. Was canting my bow. I just worry about things like that. I know people who dont shoot bow til they shoot at a deer and kill him. Wish i was like that.

I used to get to shoot all the time, but my neighborhood has built up solid now. I have room on my lot next to my house, but it's just too close to the neighbors. I shoot at the range whenever I can, and I take my target to the lease and shoot during the middle of the day a lot. I make sure my bow is tuned every year before the season, and I do a good bit of shooting in the late summer. Well, "good bit" for me these days. It's enough to give me confidence that my bow shoots straight and my pins are in the right spot.
I don't have enough time to practice with a trad bow and shoot instinctual and be good at it. But I have faith in my wheelie bow with peep and pins.

I do everything the night before. That night is tonight. I head out first thing tomorrow morning for a week.
Sharpen all my broadheads, check my arrows again, check my bow, check my hunting pack, check my hunting box, whoop and holler cause I'm going hunting the next day and I'm excited...I'm ready to go man. Been itching for MONTHS!!!!
