David Ash- what do y'all think of him?

He's developing into a leader and well rounded QB, if he stays on this path it will be a good two years to come for the boy... he sure did pulled thru in the last 3 mins of the game last night and the next two weeks will be a true test of his leadership. Defense is gonna have to step it up a notch, secondary will be busy next week if Geno Smith is going to try a repeat of this weekends game vs. Baylor!

All in all... the boy played a good game, but I think we better keep an eye on JW Walsh (OSU) that boy has some talent for red shirt Freshman

Ash played his best game of his career last night. Way better than the Ol Miss game where every long ball was under thrown. He only under threw one vs O state.

David is a great quarterback, there is no doubt about that. I was fortunate enough to get to watch him for the 4 years before he went to Austin. But beyond that he is a devout christian, and a positive role model for the local youth in our area. He is an all around great person. And yes he has improved greatly from last year. 2 more years of it also.

Line looked better and he looked better. Those things are related but he's making good accurate throws and has a bright future at UT.

Had the pleasure of being around him while I coached at lake belton. Knew he would be special then and he is. He has the it factor. When u look at him you just feel like he is gonna get it done. Texas should be excited!

I was really impressed Saturday. To be honest I think they are telling him to under throw it when the db isn't looking. He's starting to look good passing. I have more faith in him than I do the defense. That 4th and 6 pass was awesome
