Sure Felt Good

To sleep in this morning!!!!
Woke up early, heard the rain hittin the roof and window, slept good another 2 more hrs. Finally rolled out of bed at 9:30!!
Anybody else sleep in????

Slept in till 8:30....rain let up and I was out the door....didn't see a deer, but felt good away.

My daughter woke me up at 8:30. Chilling on the couch watching Ryder cut and now the Aggies!

I'm not near as mad at dem deer as I used to be when I was younger!!
I get more excited around the middle of Oct than the opening day/weekend. It's that first real cold spell when I get worked up. Ain't nuthin like being on stand when it's right around 40 degrees in the morning. That's the day I look forward to.
But, I guess I'll head out later today and get in a hunt for Sun and Mon. Main thing is to check the cameras for my youth hunters coming up at the end of Oct.

Up at 5, took a look at the weather radar and it was yellow and orange so went back to bed.

Hogs pretty much left back in Aug. They should start coming back in Nov when akerns are hittin the ground.

It was feeling good until my 8 month old said it was time to wake up at 7. I was gonna try and go out this afternoon, but it doesn't look like the rain will let up. That means I get to spend a wonderful night trying to pack up the apartment to get ready to move into the new house in a couple weeks.
