Single line quotes

I know this has been asked before but I can't find anything on it. How do you do the single line quotes on here?

How do you do the single line quotes on here?

Click on the quote and when it comes up on the screen click where you want to end a then back space the rest away until you get to the quote mark.

thanks Dr. That works. I thought there was a way useing just the word quote with these sybolms as well / [ ] not sure though or sure of the arrangement
