    Who would have thought . . .

that the sight of an empty bow could scare a person?

Tonight, I was practicing my 23 yd. shot. I stand in side yard. Shoot across driveway, through the gate into my backyard. All safe.

My next door neighbor walks up from behind my truck. He saw my empty bow, and nearly shat bricks. You would have thought I was a zombie, loaded to the gills with full-auto weapons.

yeah.....that can be a touchy subject in a neighborhood. No matter how safe you might think it is...people get kinda freaked out at arrows flying around.

Funny, but the look on his face resembled your avatar, but many shades lighter.

He freaked at the sight of a bow, not arrows, either flying or still. He is a good friend of mine, so no worries.

I had neighbors like that once. They were scared to death of it. They could barely speak the english.

Had a Comcast installer stop while I was shooting and he said he needed in my backyard to finish the install of my neighbors internet. Told him to go ahead, but he might want to say something first before he pops his head around the corner, cause I aint stopping my practice session for that.
