Primos truth cam 46 ?

I bought one of these camera's last year and for the money it has done a good job. I just went to pulled the card and there were no pictures. I started checking and I can't make it work, the screen looks normal but no worky. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, is it worth taking it back to academy or just buy another one? I don't think I have the receipt or the box it came in.

They are great cameras. I have several of them. Before you give up on it try a different gb sd card. I noticed they are sometimes picky about that

No such thing as a stupid question, so here goes, did you make sure the sd card wasn't locked? I've done that one before.

That's not a stupid question (only because I've done it before too)

Also, I have returned cameras to Academy before with out paperwork or package - so you're good, just in case! (only for exchange)

i actually seem to be having the same problem with mine that is 2 months old, if that much.... i moved it to another spot to see if i can get it to work, idk how it would work but im gonna try lol it takes great pics....if it doesnt then its going back to academy

How do you unlock the sd card?
I have had to hold the up/down button on mine for 3-4 seconds at the same time to make it work. The directions tell you to try this if I am not mistaken to format the card.

On one of the sides of the sd card there is a little plastic piece that you slide to lock or unlock it.

Not to hijack....but I have always seemed to have bad luck with the 46 model. Have had nothing but good luck with the 35's. strange...

I returned one last week to Academy with no receipt or box and got store credit. It had recently been on clearance for $79.99 so that is what they gave me for it but I was good with that considering all I had was a camera that would no longer turn on.

I think up is locked. It should be stamped with an arrow pointing the direction to lock the card.

I tried to exchange a Truth 46 camera (3mos. old) at Academy. No receipt, no exchange.

I read on another forum people were having issues with the 46. The problem is when they would pull the card and view the pics on a digital camera. After that, the SD card was shot for the Truth 46. Try a new card and see what happens and call Primos and see what they say. I can't remember if they had to re-format the card or had to just replace it with a new one.

1) Try new SD card.
2) call/look at Primos service website. They might have a software upgrade for that model.
3) take to Academy and return. If they don't take it back try another Academy. Because they all don't handle it the same way

I have had good luck with my 46s, taking pics.

( Now the 46Ultras, I bought and returned three, because none of them worked on Video, which is why I bought them. Did the software upgrade and all.)
